USA: On line education tops the record level of the popularity
According to the new meta-analysis which results have been published last week by the Department of Education of the USA, online-training has the certain advantages over the resident instruction. The research says that the students who studied partially or completely in an online mode showed bigger progress than the traditionally trained students with the same curriculum, sitting at the lectures in the classrooms in a mode of resident instruction.(to read more…)


Uganda: Distance learning for students from the East Africa
University Makerere in Kampala (Uganda) provided two lecture halls for distance education, having allowed students from different areas of the country to come to university and to study in a distance mode, using more expanded databases of other universities (including universities of other countries) through a satellite communication. In California it is planned to substitute classic textbooks by the online versions.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger plans to make California the first state in the USA where students will be trained with the help of the electronic textbooks posted on the Internet.
The governor has officially sounded the plans about transfer of printed high school and university textbooks in a digital format. According to Schwarzenegger this will give more people an access to education. Besides, he is convinced that online-training will help students keep up to date and not lag behind from new technologies. China sends for education abroad the biggest number of the students
China heads the list of the countries with the greatest number of the youth receiving education abroad. It is followed by India, Republic of Korea, Germany, Japan, France, the USA, Malaysia, Canada and Russia. It was shown in the World report about education of UNESCO in 2009. The report has been presented in Paris during the Global conference on higher education in July, 5-8th.
